Lil B Promised To Lift The Based God Curse If Kevin Durant Signs With The Knicks

It’s been 5 years since Kevin Durant made the grave mistake of dissing Lil B on Twitter.

As a result, Lil B unleashed the legendary Based God curse on KD.

For those non-believers who question the legitimacy of this curse, here are some fun facts:

A year later, the Thunder made the NBA Finals before flaming out in 5 games to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. After that, the James Harden trade happened, which was called the worst trade in NBA history.

OKC also had several injury plagued season, including Kevin Durant missing nearly two years to injuries and Westbrook missing a playoff series due to a freak knee injury.

The Thunder recently were up 3-1 over the Warriors before managing to lose in 7 games. They have not been to the Finals since 2012. It’s safe to say the curse is real.

However, the Based God has given Durant the opportunity to repent for his sins.

Ironically playing for the Knicks right now would be a curse in its own right.

Unfortunately KD has thus far expressed zero interest in joining New York this offseason.

Durant’s representatives at Roc Nation are working to solidify invitations with the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Thunder, league sources said.

He’ll need to work out a new way to lift the curse.
