SNL’s Unaired Ferguson Sketch Is Actually Surprisingly Hilarious

It’s been a while since I actually sat down and subjected myself to a full episode of Saturday Night Live. Why force myself through 2 hours of mainly terrible sketches hoping that one or two might be funny, when you can just wait for the best ones to be posted online the next day?

This time though, SNL surprised us all with something a little grittier than we’re used to (though it wasn’t actually aired live, so my point stands). Last Saturday, SNL had the balls to do a sketch about everything that’s happening in Ferguson, Missouri, and it actually didn’t suck.

A little bit more actual social satire could be just what SNL needs to get out of the massive hole they’ve dug themselves. And also maybe not having James Franco guest host again. I love the man, but he was just terrible.
